CONCEPT: ARDHNARESHWAR

Ardhnareshwar is a combination of 'Ardha', 'Nari' and 'Ishwara' means 'half', 'woman' and 'lord' respectively. In sanskrit language, Ardhnareshwar means "Lord who is half woman". It is believed that the god is lord Shiva and the woman part is his consort goddess Parvati or Shakti. The male half stands for Purusha and the female half is Prakriti. Constructive and generative power is represented by the Ardhnareshwar.

11/03/2021: MAHA SHIVRATRI

.

Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the god Shiva. The name also refers to the night when Shiva performs the heavenly dance. There is a Shivaratri in every luni-solar month of the Hindu calendar, on the month's 13th night/14th day, but once a year in late winter (February/March, or Phalguna) and before the arrival of Summer, marks Maha Shivaratri which means "the Great Night of Shiva". It is also known that shiv married parvati on this day.
